This August sees the long awaited release of our first ever shoe, the JaguarShoes Collective Clarks Originals Desert Boot!!
JaguarShoes Collective have given the classic Clarks Originals Desert Boot a fresh aesthetic for A/W ’12. An innovative collaboration that combines quality British shoe-making, on-trend styling and a wry sense of humour.

The boot has a modern vintage colour palate, derived from the original signage that hangs above the doors of DreamBagsJaguarShoes (the Collective’s flagship space and the heart of the business). It features a slim sole, corduroy suede uppers and a red and cream striped leather lining.
In typical JaguarShoes Collective fashion, they endeavor to bring a smile to our faces. They have done so by adding some novel socks into the mix. Each pair of boots comes with an artist-designed limited edition pair of British-themed socks. With a cheeky nod to mass-market ‘novelty’ socks, Chrissie Abbott has designed a ‘Rain & Shine’ repeat print pair for women and McBess has designed ‘Plates of Meat’ for men.
The desert boots come wrapped in bespoke tissue paper (also designed by the respective artists), presented in a specially designed Originals box.
JaguarShoes Collective will be hosting a launch event for the product on Thursday August 30th at their newly refurbished East London venue, the Old Shoreditch Station. Details of which will be announced shortly.
JaguarShoes Collective is an arts organization that collaborates with illustrators, designers and brands to create beautiful and unique products, exhibitions and events. Famous for their ambitious and experiential shows across popular East London venues, DreamBagsJaguarShoes and The Old Shoreditch Station, JaguarShoes Collective set the standard for originality.
CHRISSIE ABBOTT first exhibited at DreamBagsJaguarShoes in 2008. She has since returned many times for solo and group projects and also produces beautiful designs for JAGUARSHOES COLLECTIVE products. She studied her craft at the London College of Communication and since graduating has built up a prolific portfolio as a full time freelance illustrator.
Her work is most often characterised by collaged imaginings, which, in vivid Technicolor, utilise pattern and found images to create a uniquely delicate and fragile aesthetic that often touches on themes of nature and humanism.
MCBESS, aka Illustrator Matthieu Bessudo exhibited with JAGUARSHOES COLLECTIVE in 2010 and has since created a number of beautiful products for the organisation. Born and raised in Cannes, he studied 3D animation at renowned multimedia school ‘Supinfocom’ in Southern France before graduating and relocated to London.
Mcbess’ work modernises monochromatic cartoons by using contemporary shapes, symbols and types. The main characters are often representations of himself in a surreal world filled with his passions, such as food and music. McBess is also the guitarist in the band “The Dead Pirates†and has the word ‘MEAT’ tattooed across his knuckles.
The boots are available now from www.no-one.co.uk, JaguarShoes Collective bigcartel, www.clarksoriginals.com and retail stores nationwide. Get them before they’re gone!
